Experienced retail design and creative leader with 20+ years experience building consumer centric brands, products, and experiences for the retail market. James has led cross functional teams through the entire design process from concept to execution and has partnered with vendors globally to develop compelling products, assortments and experiences. He is passionate about building strong relationships and connecting company strategies to product design strategies in order to drive growth.
Target
Led the owned brand product design strategy for Target's multi billion dollar private label home portfolio. Responsible for leadership and team development of 50+ designers, engineers and creative team members.
Pottery Barn
Led the design strategy and product development for Pottery Barn dining and entertaining categories. Oversee design direction for all key seasonal and core product launches across dinnerware, entertaining, glassware and flatware.
iDesign
Executive leader responsible for brand strategy, sustainable product and global sourcing strategy, product management and total product cost strategy and oversight for all development. Led a team of 30+ team members globally.
Rituil
Co-founded, developed and launched a profitable and sustainable luxury DTC wellness and interior brand from concept to consumer in 8 months. Developed brand strategy, brand identity, product, website experience, social, vendor matrix, shipping and fulfillment and hospitality strategy.
Experience with Fortune 100 to 500 retailers and social influencer communities with 200k to 20M+ to launch their brands. I have partnered with industry leading creators including The Home Edit, Rosanna Pansino, John Derain, Rachel Ashwell, Monique Lhuillier, Missoni, and Nate Berkus to name a few. We have collaborated with the majority of retailers to include Target, Pottery Barn, The Container Store, Amazon, Costco and Lowes to launch sustainable product lines within their key home categories both in store and online.

As Founder and CEO of The Good Guild, James is utilizing his past experience with Fortune 500 retailers and social influencer communities with 500k to 5M+ followers to develop good brands and good products driven by purpose that lead to sustainable growth.
As Co-Founder of Rituil, a mindful living (DTC) direct to community retail brand, he created a launched a wellness + interior brand that produces all of our products out of Portugal using sustainable materials and manufacturing practices. The mission of Rituil is to helps others create interior sanctuaries through mindful living, meditation and movement.
